Artist:Zheng Wenxin

Zheng Wenxin (b. 1975, Yuncheng, Shanxi, China) graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at Xiamen University with a Bachelor's degree in 1997. In 2001, she earned a Master's degree from the Kent Institute of Art and Design in the United Kingdom. She currently lives and works in Hangzhou, China.

 

Artist in residence at Kent Institute of Art & Design, UK (2001-2003), Held BANYAN ART MAP-ING, Hangzhou (2014-2016), Artist in residence at PILOTENKUCHEN International Leipzig (2019), Artist in residence at Sitterwerk foundation, St. Gallen Switzerland (2023).

 

Her artistic creation primarily utilizes painting as the main medium, with her research encompassing field research, digital media, feminism, tribal culture, semiotics etc.
