Mocube is pleased to announce that we will present artists Feng Lianghong, Guo Haiqiang, and Li Yiwen's  curated project Folds of Matter at Art Basel Hong Kong from March 25 to March 29, 2026.

"Folds of Matter" seeks to transcend surface-level stylistic differences to reveal a shared spiritual core among  three artists: the exploration of ways in which painting becomes a testament to existence through the collisions  and folds of flesh and the material world. Feng Lianghong waits for the painting to guide him through layers of  covering; Guo Haiqiang accepts nature's offerings as serendipitous; Li Yiwen preserves the fading warmth of  memory in the cracks of reality. “Folds of Matter” is not an arbitrary stitching of styles but a probing of painting's  essence. Each artist tills their own terrain of folds with the brush as their plow, bearing witness—in the eternal  instant of painting—to a true encounter between self and world.
