When I walk into temples, churches, and art museums to appreciate those classic images and shapes that have been polished over time, I will also observe the spaces and the viewers and often look at them and the artworks simultaneously.

Painting is my daily task. When the first stroke falls on the canvas, the brush leads me forward. Most of the time, I don’t know where it is going. There is a lot of contingency. I modulate these contingencies every day. Endeavouring to do something unmanageable, it is rejoicing also frustrating.
