Over the last five years, Mocube presented 48 art exhibitions (43 solo shows and 5 group shows) , the work of 92 artists and curators. As sand gathers into a pagoda, the time has slipped off our hands like sand.

In July 2015, the middle of summer, the former incarnation of Mocube, Mo Project presented the group exhibition, What for, that opened our endeavor. Over the five years, with plodding and repeated steps, two changes of name, turning and tossing, making one step forward and one back, observing and realizing, and we have our finger on the pause while we experiment and learn. "What for?" has been the question we never ceased to interrogate.

An art institution is like an individual, it has an actual personality, it can be fearful, and it searches and discovers. This process is both the infinite rehearsal[1], quickly extinct, and strenuous without leaving any trace[2].

In the last five years, it has grown naturally. The nature and character of Mocube have gradually become clear and defined, which embody unbiased values. It neither boasts nor stays stagnant; it observes in quietude and prudence; it does not follow trends but remains open, inclusive, and energetic; it radiates a passion for art with its feet on the ground. It stays alive to continue representing of art practices.

For those who have dedicated their lives to art, practicing art can be an infinitely lonely and arduous journey. Yet, without any regret, they desire to reach the sacred in their hearts, for which they invariably bear solitude and a ubiquitous void.

Work and wait in silence.
